LONG HILL ASSISTS IN EASTON STRUCTURE FIRE

2/11/2007- At 10:55, an engine from Long Hill was requested to standby at Easton Fire Headquarters.  Moments before, Easton was dispatched to Maple Road for a reported structure fire.  Squad 209 and LH-3 signed on the air for the assignment.  Within minutes of arrival, the Maple Street Incident Commander requested S-209 and an additional engine from Stepney to up to the scene.  The IC also requested tanker trucks to respond from Monroe, Stevenson, Botsford, and Redding to establish a water supply.

LH-3 was the first LH unit on scene and reported a  fully involved 2 story structure at the end of a 1500 foot driveway.  Upon S-209's arrival, they were tasked with supplying the Easton engines with water from the tanker shuttle operation.  S-209 pulled a draft from a portable pond and connected into Easton E-3's supply line.  After the supply line was established, S-209's crew moved up to the fire where they assisted with the fire attack.

At 11:17, The Maple Road IC requested a Long Hill unit for RIT. Tower Ladder 204 and LH-2 responded and set up on the front lawn, providing firefighter protection for all units working at the scene.  LH-2 and LH-3 assisted Easton's Incident Commander with operations.  LH-3 was the last LH unit to clear from the scene at 15:01.
